Improving the energy-efficiency of houses and buildings is very important when considering the increasing energy consumption in houses and buildings and the decreasing capacity of electric power supply after the Great East Japan Earthquake. This session introduces the status and future prospects for policies to increase energy-efficient houses and buildings, including laws, regulations and financial assistance.
